RAMESH BISHT

"In my dreams, even today I continue to soar like a bird above the valleys of those mountains." For more than five decades Ramesh Bisht carried the mountains of Garhwal into bronze, wood and stone. A National Award winning sculptor and longtime Head of the Sculpture Department at the College of Art, New Delhi, he turned the rocks, rivers and growing forms of his childhood landscape into a body of work admired across India and abroad.
